A Book Lover’s Event—Don’t Miss Out!
The Friends of the Urbana Regional Library invite you to our Fall Used Book Sale—a community tradition for readers of all ages! Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 4 (10am–5pm, early entry for FURL members at 9am) and Sunday, October 5 (1pm–5pm), held in the lower level of Urbana Regional Library (9020 Amelung Street, Frederick, MD).
Timeless Stories, Incredible Deals
Enjoy incredible deals on gently used books—most just $1 or less! From beloved classics to modern bestsellers, children’s favorites to cookbooks and non-fiction, there’s something for everyone. DVDs are just 10 for $5, making it the perfect time to refresh your home library or discover something new.
All proceeds benefit your local library’s programs, events, and special projects. Join us for a weekend of stories, community, and savings!
Please consider volunteering to help us during the sale or before and after with set-up/take-down. We also have volunteers year-round to help with sorting.
Check out our Facebook page for any updates on the sale weekend, or more about our usual Sunday afternoon $5 for a bag of books promotion.
Support Your Library. Stock Your Shelves.
We accept gently used book and DVD donations year-round. Drop off your donations with a librarian or at any Circulation Desk at Urbana Regional Library. Tax-deductible receipts are available.
Interested in volunteering or becoming a Friend of the Library? We’d love your help—whether it’s sorting books, helping at the sale, or supporting library initiatives. Even kids can become members; it’s a $10 lifetime membership for anyone with no obligations.
