The Urbana Library Book Club first began meeting in October of 2015. FURL Book Club is currently meeting on the upper level of the Urbana Regional Library conference room, while also having the Zoom option above. In warmer months, we sometimes gather outside of the library, weather-permitting.

Book titles are selected by the members, and may be fiction or nonfiction. New members are welcome at any time! Below you will find the most up to date book list. The Starlight Family Film Festival will show The Bad Guys for the August 10th film! FURL will be giving out free popcorn and water again! 🍿

Movies start at 8:30 p.m., but at 7 p.m., the fun really begins! Each film will host exciting pre-movie activities and entertainment for the entire family. From movie character meet & greets to live animal encounters, each movie event will feature memorable experiences to share with family and friends.

Movie times/dates may be changed or cancelled due to weather. Announcements will be made via social media, so make sure to follow Frederick County Public Libraries on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates on the Starlight Family Film Festival.

Encanto tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. Starlight Film Festival presents Raya and the Last Dragon! Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. However, when sinister monsters known as the Druun threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, those same monsters have returned, and it's up to a lone warrior to track down the last dragon and stop the Druun for good.

Raya and the Last Dragon is rated PG and has a runtime of 114 minutes.
